(Baonghean.vn) - Along with localities across the country, on the afternoon of October 11, the Vinh City People's Committee organized a fundraising campaign to support the people of Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu district and the people of the Central region who suffered losses in the recent storm and flood.
At the launching ceremony, the staff voluntarily donated one day's salary each. The amount of donations collected from the Vinh City People's Committee alone was 18 million 230 thousand VND, together with the donations from staff from some units under the City People's Committee, the total amount of donations was 30 million 615 thousand VND.
Currently, organizations, individuals, agencies and units in the city are continuing to mobilize donations to help people in areas affected by storms and floods overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. Previously, the Vinh City Fatherland Front also promptly provided relief and support of 150 million VND to the people of Hoang Mai town.

* On the morning of October 10, Phuc Quang Pagoda, Hung Nguyen District and Can Linh Pagoda, Vinh City went to Hoang Mai Town to give relief gifts to the people.
