Join hands for a safe summer for children

In order to effectively implement children's work, further promote the role of all levels, families and the whole society in protecting, caring for and educating children, this morning, June 5, in Quy Hop, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Quy Hop district to organize the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Children 2020 and the signing ceremony of the commitment "Safe Summer for Children".

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Children's Work Steering Committee, Comrade Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs called on all levels, sectors and localities to focus on directing and effectively implementing the contents of the Action Month for Children in 2020. Also at the ceremony, localities and sectors signed a commitment to implement "Safe Summer for Children", preventing injuries and drowning accidents in children in 2020.

Localities commit to effectively implementing the 2020 Action Month for Children according to Plan 247/KH-UBND dated May 13 of the Provincial People's Committee; Strictly implement the Prime Minister's Directive on preventing injuries and drowning for children; Establish a steering committee for preventing injuries and drowning for children from village to commune and district levels; Organize inspections, review, build barriers, fill, install warning signs, and cordon off construction pits, beaches, rivers, streams, canals, dams, ponds, lakes, ferry piers, etc. Prepare emergency drowning rescue tools at risk points; Organize communication and education activities, focusing on promoting the Child Protection Hotline 111; Deploy specialized visual content on preventing violence, child abuse, and preventing drowning and injuries for children.
