Vietnamese Songs 2011 program has many new features
The most outstanding feature of the 12 live shows in this year's Vietnamese Song program is that they are more oriented and the program's interactivity is also higher.
Musician Luong Minh, Head of VTV3 Music Department, said that the "Song of the Month Award" will be judged by the Evaluation Council on a 60-point scale with six clear criteria such as musical image, literary image, creative exploration, musical emotion, musical style and social significance.
The Judging Council also awarded the "Effective Mixing and Arranging Award" and the "Effective Singer Performance Award." In addition, for the audience to give their evaluation, Bai Hat Viet 2011 also has the "Impressive Song" award voted directly by the audience at the live show.
Vietnamese Songs 2011 has added live commentary from experts right after the performances, helping the audience get a more multi-dimensional perspective after listening to the new compositions.
This section is a professional and aesthetic perspective, may have opinions that disagree with the Jury and is only for television viewers to view, and does not affect the Jury's results.
In particular, the program also spends 30 minutes introducing creative projects by authors, singers or groups of authors to further improve contemporary music.
This year, with the awards presented live at the live show, the audience will have the opportunity to hear the Jury members' evaluation of the songs right on the show night, instead of having to wait until the live show next month to be announced like last year.
The 2011 Vietnamese Song Judging Panel of seven members has also been completely "rejuvenated".
They are producers and musicians such as Quoc Trung (Chairman of the Appraisal Council), Anh Quan, Vo Thien Thanh, Le Quang, Tran Manh Hung, Duc Tri and journalist Nguyen Minh.
The 2011 Vietnamese Song Liveshow, produced by VTV and Cat Tien Sa Company, takes place on the second Sunday evening of every month and is broadcast live on VTV6 channel of Vietnam Television.
Each live show will feature nine new songs with the highest scores selected by the Jury. The show will conclude with a finale and awards ceremony held in May next year.
The first live show of the program took place in June. The second live show will take place at 7pm on July 10 at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House and will be broadcast live on VTV6.
The highlight of the competition night was nine songs by young authors and singers such as Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh, Duong Cam, Thanh Vuong, Le Minh Trung, Nguyen Vinh Tien, Hai Dang, and Vu Trong Long.
The music project of Vietnamese Songs of July will introduce the voice of Le Cat Trong Ly with four of her own compositions, a gentle, clear, and strange music.
