Support program "Jeju - Vietnam Incentive Travel 2014"
On the morning of February 25, 2014, in Hanoi, the Korean Tourism Office in Vietnam (KTO Vietnam) in collaboration with the Jeju Tourism Promotion Agency and the Jeju MICE Tourism Promotion Association held a memorandum signing ceremony and an introduction program on support programs for “Jeju (Korea) – Vietnam Incentive Tourism 2014”.
The event is held to promote the number of tourists coming to Jeju as well as contribute to promoting tourism exchange between Vietnam and Jeju in particular and Vietnam and Korea in general.
In 2013, recognizing the importance and appreciation of MICE activities of Vietnamese travel agencies and businesses, KTO Vietnam has carried out many support activities, providing necessary and useful information about Korean tourism, especially Incentive Tourism to Vietnamese travel agencies, businesses and tourists. Thanks to this effort, the number of Vietnamese tourists to Korea in 2013 reached more than 117,000, an increase of 10% compared to 2012.
In order to better support incentive travel groups from Vietnam, in 2014 KTO Vietnam continues to implement a support program for incentive travel groups to Korea. In addition to the support of KTO Vietnam, Vietnamese tourists also receive support from the Jeju Tourism Promotion Bureau, Jeju MICE Tourism Promotion Association and local tourism promotion bureaus.
KTO Vietnam representative Nguyen Thi Quyen introduced the Jeju – Vietnam Incentive Tourism support program 2014. Accordingly, Jeju MICE Tourism Association and Jeju Tourism Department will support incentive tourism groups of units that signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the content of supporting gifts, or part of the cost of meals, or part of the cost of tickets to attractions and performances.
