(Baonghean.vn) -Hoang Khac Anh (P.Nghi Huong, Cua Lo Town)is one of the typical young people in the movement of good economic performance, honored to receive the Luong Dinh Cua award presented by the Central Youth Union.

We visited the family farm of Hoang Khac Anh (born in 1981) in block 2, Nghi Huong ward, Cua Lo town.In the small plot of land, there are neatly arranged many cages with 11 large cages for raising pheasants and 3 cages for raising porcupines. He confided, having experienced many jobs, in 2009, I went to the Animal Husbandry Institute to learn about the wild boar breeding model, knowing that wild boars are easy to raise, and the consumption market is favorable, so my family boldly invested in buying two mother pigs for 30 million VND. Because this breed of wild boar has been domesticated, it is quite easy to raise. Being omnivorous, the main food is vegetables, tubers, fruits... moreover, wild boars have high resistance so they rarely get sick. After a while, the first two breeding pigs gave birth to 37 piglets. The family sold these pigs to customers in Hanoi for 3 million VND/pig. My family decided to borrow more capital to invest in buying more piglets and expanding the farm. However, the land fund is limited, so I discussed with my wife to switch to raising porcupines and pheasants.

Raising pheasants brings great economic benefits.

Pheasants are not only rare animals currently favored by bird breeders in the North, but also
Pheasant meat is also a high-class specialty dish.Currently, his family's flock of pheasants is up to 150 birds.Pheasants usually start laying eggs after about 8 months, on average 70 - 80 eggs/year, priced from 50,000 VND - 70,000 VND/egg, newly hatched chicks are 120,000 VND/bird. Adult red pheasants are priced from 2.8 - 3 million VND/pair. A.I expanded my farm to raise porcupines.Currently, his family's total income is from 130 - 150 million VND/year.

In 2011, Hoang Khac Anh was honored to be one of two young people from Nghe An to receive the Luong Dinh Cua award for the Central Highlands region by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.is an annual award for rural youth with outstanding achievements in production, business, transfer of scientific and technological advances, industry development, environmental protection and new rural construction, and active contributions to local Youth Union and Association activities.
