24h Movement sets completely new criteria in both content and form, providing the audience with the "latest, hottest, fastest" news, but must ensure the factors of "objectivity, honesty, multi-dimensional perspective, attractiveness, sharpness".
24h Movement will cover a wide range of information: society, economy, culture, sports... On Saturdays, there will be selective focus and commentary on important news that just happened during the week. On Sundays, the program is more relaxing, but still ensures "hot" news.
General Director of Vietnam Television, Mr. Tran Binh Minh said: "Currently, television is facing great competition from the Internet, so to maintain our influence we will have to have a multimedia information channel. According to current statistics, 40% of young people follow news through multimedia information channels, so VTV24 will aim to be a multimedia television channel."
Journalist Le Binh, Director of VTV24 Center said: "VTV24 will aim to meet the needs of viewers watching programs on all types of media, not only TV but also mobile phones, Ipads... We will promote interaction with the audience, whatever the audience wants, we will meet. Up to now, television has been criticized for being slower than online newspapers. Now with VTV24, we are building a team of collaborators, finding exclusive information to compete with online newspapers to see who reports the news fastest."
