(Baonghean.vn) - It's been more than 3 years since we had the opportunity to return to Yen Na and Yen Tinh (Tuong Duong), communes located along the Cha Ha stream.
Remember in 2011, the Cha Ha River rose in a historic flood, sweeping away everything in its path. That was probably a way to express nature's anger towards human behavior towards sustainable values. At that time, teachers of Yen Tinh Secondary School burst into tears when they saw the devastation. The muddy water marks were imprinted on the school's walls, about 2 meters from the floor. The dormitories of students, teachers, classrooms... were all under water at that time.
Now back to the end of October, Cha Ha is peaceful. But there are still stories by the water. Taking us to visit the school again, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thong - Vice Principal of Yen Tinh Secondary School (Tuong Duong) - was proud of what the teachers and students have created. 116 students from 5 inner villages including Huoi Pai, Cha Lum, Na Cang, Pa Khom, Vang Cuom have peacefully studied and lived in newly built spacious houses. Student manager Hoang Ngoc Dai said: The whole school has 248 students, nearly half of whom stay as boarding students. They are all children of the Thai ethnic group, only Nguyen Quoc Khanh is Kinh.
Going through the classes with the teachers on a first day of the week, looking at the caps and the eyes tilted on the paper, we felt the efforts of the teachers and students at the end of the inter-commune asphalt road from Hoa Binh town to this place. It seems that the education in Yen Tinh land is not only that.
