US expert outlines conditions for ending conflict in Ukraine

"Ukraine needs to accept the fact that the four regions that joined Russia and the Crimea peninsula will remain under Russian control. Moscow will not give up these territories," he said. Professor Mearsheimer added that if Ukraine continues the war, the country risks losing new territories, including Kharkov and Odessa. In addition, according to the Professor, Kiev must adhere to a neutral stance and not belong to any bloc.
Meanwhile, Mikhail Podoliak, a top adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, criticized the need for Western arms deliveries to Kiev to be much faster than they have been in the past. In an interview with Ukraine’s 24 Kanal TV, the official noted that the long delays in the delivery of weapons give Russia enough time to prepare its strategic defense.
