Nghe An News and Arts Photo Club summarizes activities in 2011

(Baonghean)-On December 10, Nghe An News and Art Photo Club held a summary of activities in 2011 and discussed the direction of activities in 2012, preparing for the 20th anniversary of the Club's establishment (July 16, 1992 - July 16, 2012). Attending were representatives of the Provincial Cultural Center and 24 Club members.

Considered a club with many diverse and quality activities, photographers in Nghe An are gathered from many professions and localities throughout the province. From press reporters, representatives of coastal and mountainous regions, many are members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, senior members such as Mr. Do Tan Tai (74 years old, Thai Hoa town) to young members in their early 30s, they have created a unique appearance, position and character of the club.

Over the past year, the Club has had many active activities, contributing many achievements to the province's cultural and artistic career. Since the beginning of 2011, members have participated well in the activities of the Spring Newspaper Festival in Do Luong, which was considered the most successful exhibition with dozens of high-quality works that have won many national and regional awards. In addition, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city (March 29, 2011), the Club also organized an exhibition-creation exchange with the Song Han Art Photography Club. More than 100 works of the two clubs were exhibited on the banks of the Han River, highly appreciated by the government, people of Da Nang city and the mass media. Also in the year, the Club organized a 3-day creative camp, with lecturers from the Central to guide, many high-quality works were born. Members also sent works to participate in the North Central Region Photo Festival held in Quang Tri. In this round of Ho Xuan Huong Literature and Arts Awards, the Club also had over 10 authors enter the final round. In 2011, the Club admitted 3 new members.

To prepare for activities in 2012, the Club focused on discussing plans to celebrate its 20th anniversary (expected in March 2012). In the immediate future, the focus will be on compiling a yearbook of its 20 years of operation, introducing authors, works... and making traditional films about the Club.

Also at the summary meeting, the Club approved a new charter consisting of 6 chapters and 15 articles on the rights, obligations and responsibilities of members, and elected the Executive Board for the next term.
