Van Quyet does not trust foreign referees

Round 5 of phase 2 of V-League 2023 will witness the highlight match between CAHN Club and Hanoi Club. These are two teams that are fiercely competing for the championship in this year's domestic season. Given the importance of the match, VFF invited Thai referee Songkran Bunmeekiart to officiate at Hang Day.

However, the captain of Hanoi FC, Nguyen Van Quyet, recently shared that he still trusts a domestic referee more than a foreign referee. Sharing at the latest training session of Hanoi FC, Van Quyet said: "In my opinion, hiring a foreign referee is completely normal. However, I think that at this time, we should let a domestic referee referee, not a foreign referee.

Van Quyet is in good form with Cao Minh Tu.

"These are important matches, and require the referee's courage. We hire foreign referees, but it is not certain that we can control them. I like domestic referees because they understand what Vietnamese football needs. Anyway, I hope the match will be safe. For Quyet as well as the whole team, the next 3 matches are very important matches. Not only for Hanoi FC but also for all teams. We always respect the teams. We will try our best in each match. My teammates and I want to play well. Whether we shine or not is all aimed at achieving good results for Hanoi," the captain of Hanoi Club shared.
