The above survey results are considered a favorable signal for Mrs. Clinton after this female politician had an outstanding performance in the first live debate that took place a few days ago.

A poll conducted by Fox News and released on September 30 shows that Mrs. Clinton is currently leading billionaire Trump by 3%, 43% - 40%. The support rates for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are 8% and 4%, respectively.

However, the poll also showed that voters did not particularly favor either candidate and that many were still undecided. Specifically, 53% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the former US Secretary of State, while the rate for the real estate "tycoon" was 55%.

The number of voters who said Mr. Trump was honest and trustworthy was only 31%, down 8% from the survey in mid-September, while only 35% of voters had the same answer for Mrs. Clinton.

Meanwhile, a Reuters/Ipsos poll released the same day showed Clinton leading Trump by 43% to 38%. About 19% of voters said they would not choose either candidate.

A day earlier, the polling firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) also released survey results showing that Mrs. Clinton was leading her opponent Trump by a single digit in five "battleground" states including Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia, where voters were still uncertain about which candidate to choose.

Accordingly, the former US Secretary of State leads billionaire Trump by 7 points in Colorado with a rate of 51% and 44%, 3 points in Florida with a rate of 48%-45%, 4 points in North Carolina with a rate of 49%-45%, 5 points in Pennsylvania with a rate of 49%-44%, 6 points in Virginia with a rate of 49%-43%.

The polls were conducted after the two candidates had their first live televised debate on the evening of September 26. This confrontation attracted up to 80 million viewers, marking a record number of viewers for a US presidential election debate on television to date.

Many media agencies and experts commented that the Democratic representative had a successful performance by maintaining an overwhelming position, forcing the Republican opponent into a defensive position.

From now until Election Day on November 8, presidential candidates Clinton and Trump will continue to participate in two live televised debates on October 9 and October 19.
