Despite scoring first, Vietnam still left Oman empty-handed

The Oman team, cheered on by more than 17,000 fans in the stands of Sultan Qaboos Stadium, launched a preemptive attack on the home team.Vietnam teamas soon as the whistle blew.

Unlike previous matches, in the first minutes of this match, the Oman team chose to play an attacking game mainly from the two wings. But the joy of the Vietnamese team did not last long, just a few minutes later Oman scored a goal to level the score 1-1. The goal came from a set piece free kick, the ball bounced around in the penalty area, then the ball reached the feet of striker Al Sahbi, this player had a beautiful diving kick to defeat goalkeeper Van Toan.

The first half of the match was very good when both teams gave the audience many beautiful and attractive plays, with the pace of the match being pushed up quite high.

A few minutes into the second half, from a corner kick, midfielder Khaldi had a free kick that curved into the net, leaving Van Toan helpless.

After the goal, the Vietnamese players pushed up their formation and pressed into the opponent's field, forcing Mr. Branko Ivankovic's students to retreat deep to defend.

Leading 2-1, Oman played a defensive counter-attacking style, which created many scoring opportunities for the red team. In the 60th minute of the match, Duy Manh swung his arm and hit an Oman player in the face in the penalty area. After consulting VAR, the referee pointed to the 11m mark. Striker Yahyaei scored the goal to increase the score to 3-1 for Oman.

After taking a 2-goal lead, the red team conceded the field to the Vietnamese team and chose to play a lurking style. Oman has players with excellent individual skills, along with very fast acceleration, so the home team's lightning-fast attacks were quite sharp.

In the final minutes of the match, Coach Park Hang-seo made some changes to the attack. However, the Vietnamese team still could not score a goal. The match ended with a score of 3-1 in favor of the Oman team.

In this match, Vietnam's attack played very hard. The players in the midfield and forward lines were connected, creating many sharp attacks. Vietnam scored the first goal but because the defense made too many mistakes, Vietnam had to accept defeat.

Cong Phuong played from the start, he showed his strengths and created a new wind in the attack of the Vietnamese team. The striker from Nghe An with his knack for dribbling skillfully caused many difficulties for the Oman defense. Most of the counterattacks of the Vietnamese team went through Cong Phuong's feet. In the final minutes of the match, the player playing for HAGL kicked the ball very hard from outside the penalty area, making goalkeeper Rusheidi helpless, but the post denied the goal. Overall, coach Park was right to choose Phuong to play from the start of this match.
