Girl with purulent meningitis needs help
(Baonghean) The couple Bui Thi Mai Thu and Phan Sy Hung in Tien Chinh hamlet, Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district have three daughters. The difficult life in the poor mountainous countryside cannot prevent the boundless happiness of the parents when their beautiful children cry out one after another when they are born. The couple works hard in the fields to take care of their children. Everything would be fine if the life of the youngest daughter Phan Thi Van Ly was peaceful in that poverty and hardship.
At the age of 1, baby Ly had a high fever. When she went to the doctor, she was diagnosed with purulent meningitis and was referred to Hanoi for treatment. They ran everywhere, sold everything they could, and even mortgaged valuable assets to treat their child, but due to lack of resources, they could only manage for nearly a year. The couple had to reluctantly take their child home. From then on, baby Ly just lay in one place, unable to move, unable to see anything, and everything was very difficult.
Although he was 6 years old, the baby only weighed about 13kg. Every time the weather changed, he would have seizures and cry out. Looking at his child, Mr. Hung and Ms. Thu could only hold back their tears, helpless because they could not afford to buy medicine. Their debt had reached 50 million VND. Their small house and buffalo - their most valuable assets - were also mortgaged to the bank. They also had to raise two young children who were still in school (the eldest daughter was in 6th grade, the second daughter was in 1st grade), the whole family only relied on a few acres of rented rice fields.
Now, the family's greatest wish is to be able to treat their child as much as possible. We look forward to the help of organizations, groups and philanthropists.
