Nghe An fans dye Long An stadium yellow again
(Baonghean.vn) -On Sunday afternoon (April 21), at Tan An Stadium in Long An Province, nearly 10,000 Nghe An fans dyed a corner of the field yellow. The overwhelming number of fans made everyone feel as if Tan An was their home stadium.
Before the match in round 6 took place, forums and social networks of Nghe An fans were flooded with plans to go to Long An to cheer for the Nghe An team. On the night of June 20, after the successful organization of the Miss SLNA final, thousands of Nghe An fans working in Ho Chi Minh City made an appointment to travel by motorbike to Long An.
As planned, at nearly 1 p.m., thousands of fans in yellow shirts, with banners on their heads saying “Song Lam Nghe An is the champion”, paraded together on motorbikes, causing traffic jams on the East-West Avenue. Many young men and women had the club’s logo pasted on their faces, proudly carrying the national flag and the club’s flag, marching with the shouts of “Nghe An”, “Song Lam Nghe An”,…

An hour before the match, more than 5,000 Nghe An fans crowded together at the ticket counter to wait their turn to enter the stadium. When the match started, there were nearly 10,000 yellow-shirted fans sitting on the field, an overwhelming number compared to the home team. Every time the away team SLNA had the ball and launched attacks, thousands of Nghe An fans cheered and waved yellow flags to cheer.
In the 21st minute, when Hector bravely headed in to open the score for the away team, the Tan An stadium seemed to explode, the fans continuously chanted "Song Lam Nghe An is the champion" and called out the names of their favorite players.
Entering the second half, Nghe An fans experienced different emotions of the match. They were happy and excited by the relentless attacks of their hometown team, and were silent when the home team scored a goal to reduce the gap to 1-2 home team in the 85th minute. A few minutes earlier, when young player Que Ngoc Hai headed the ball to increase the score to 2-0, the Tan An stadium continued to explode.
In the remaining minutes of the match, the fans watched and prayed for their hometown team not to concede a goal. In the 90th minute, when Kavin was fouled in the penalty area, Trong Hoang calmly stepped up to defeat goalkeeper Quoc Cuong, setting the score at 3-1 for the Nghe team. The Tan An stadium stands exploded with joy of victory, the fans were excited, continuously shouting songs that had become their "specialties", leaving the few fans of the home team speechless.
In fact, not only this season, Nghe An fans have the tradition of dyeing away stadiums yellow, turning them into fiery pans in Vinh in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Highlands, etc., and having parades to show off their power before the match. Last season, Nghe An fans made the streets of Ho Chi Minh City noisy with their parades, but they were later criticized because many people did not wear helmets; in some matches, fans even used flares when cheering on away stadiums, etc. Learning from experience, this year, Nghe An fans all had professional parades, all wearing helmets, not using flares but only using loudspeakers, flags, trumpets and drums to cheer for the home team.

Not only did Long An stadium turn yellow, but on social networks and online forums of Nghe An fans, information about the match was also constantly updated so that those who could not travel to Long An could follow and cheer for their team.
On Sunday afternoon in Tan An, nearly 10,000 Nghe An fans continued to be satisfied with the convincing victory of their hometown team. Nghe An fans also left a good impression in the hearts of fans nationwide with a professional and fair play cheering style. Witnessing the enthusiastic cheering of Nghe An fans, a VTV commentator exclaimed, "Now, Nghe An fans can turn any stadium into their home stadium." This is exactly what many rich teams in the V-League desire but cannot have.
