Forging bank nameplates and seals to stamp on promotional purchase documents, Quyen tricked others into "cooperating" to get more than half a billion dong.

On April 16, District 3 Police (HCMC) arrested Nguyen Thi Hang Quyen (29 years old, from Khanh Hoa) to investigate the act of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to the investigation, in May 2015, Ms. Ngoc (44 years old, living in Phu Nhuan district) met Quyen through many relationships. The girl claimed to be the Deputy Director of a bank branch.

Quyen "bragged" that she had a coupon for a 50% discount at an electronics supermarket, telling Ngoc that if she wanted to buy something, they could "cooperate" to make a profit.

Trusting her, Ms. Ngoc asked Quyen to buy a series of items such as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6plus, TV, washing machine, water heater... with a total amount after discount of 540 million VND.

A long time after transferring money to the account, Ms. Ngoc did not see Quyen deliver the goods, so she became suspicious. She asked to return 100 million VND that her friend contributed but changed his mind and did not buy anymore, but the "deputy director" only paid 90 million VND and disappeared. Recently, Ms. Ngoc accidentally met Quyen on the street and reported to the police to arrest her.

At the investigation agency, Quyen admitted to forging the nameplate and bank seal on some documents used for fraud.
