On the morning of December 8, the brother and relatives of Ms. Le Thi Loi (38 years old, in Duc Son commune, Anh Son district) were on their way to Vinh Phuc to take Ms. Loi back to her hometown.

Mr. Le Xuan Thang - a police officer of Duc Son commune said: It is expected that Ms. Loi will return home this afternoon or evening (December 8). When she left, Ms. Loi brought her daughter, born in 2005, and because her mind was not clear, she may have gotten lost. Now Ms. Loi has been taken care of and brought home, but we do not know where her daughter is.

Mr. Thang also added that in her hometown, Ms. Loi's father and mother had both passed away. The commune police had instructed Ms. Loi's brother and sister to complete the paperwork to go to Vinh Phuc to receive her and bring her back to her hometown.

“Ms. Loi’s situation was very difficult. When she was young, her love failed and she suffered from a broken heart. Her mind was not clear and she often wandered. In 2005, Ms. Loi gave birth to a daughter and became a single mother. Around 2013, Ms. Loi took her daughter and left, and no one could find the mother and daughter,” said Mr. Thang.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, on December 7, on social networks, a photo of a woman believed to be in Nghe An was shared and a message was posted to find her relatives, with the following content: "Ms. Loi, born in 1979. Duc Son Commune, Anh Son District, Nghe An Province. Arrested in China for not having papers. Now she has returned to Tan Thanh. But she doesn't remember much anymore. Because she was injected with drugs."

From the image and content shared above, relatives and Duc Son Commune Police recognized that it was Ms. Loi, in Hamlet 17, Duc Son Commune, Anh Son District, who had been missing for several years.

Mr. Nguyen Hung (residing in Kim Xa commune, Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc), the person who took care of Ms. Loi, said: "When I went to Bang Tuong (China), my brother who does business there told me to go see if she was really Vietnamese, because I couldn't remember the way back, and had been detained for more than two months now."

I started chatting and found out that this woman was not mentally sound, she only remembered Loi's name and her hometown was Nghe An. I took Loi back to Vinh Phuc. Because I was busy with work, I didn't have time to take Loi back to her hometown. If I took her to Nghe An by bus, I wouldn't feel secure, afraid that she wouldn't be able to get home after getting on the bus. I was afraid that she would leave again, so I had to take her with me to work at the construction site.

Duc Son Commune Police also said that after Ms. Loi returns home, they will verify who took her to China or if she got lost on her own and find her daughter.
