The "golden" girl of taekwondo
At the 15th Southeast Asian University Sports Festival held in Chiang Mai (Thailand), athlete Nguyen Thi Duong (Vietnam Sports Delegation) excellently won the individual Gold Medal in Taekwondo, contributing to the glory of Vietnamese sports in general and Nghe An sports in particular.

In 2004, in her first appearance at the Hanoi Open Championship, Nguyen Thi Duong won the Silver Medal for the team and the Bronze Medal for the individual.
That same year, at the national youth tournament, he brought Nghe An its first individual Silver Medal in Taekwondo. Up to now, after 5 years of competition, Duong has brought Nghe An sports 22 medals of all kinds, including 5 gold medals.
In particular, at the 25th Sea Games in 2009 held in the Land of a Million Elephants, the girl from Quynh brought home the Silver Medal in Taekwondo for the Vietnamese sports delegation. 2010 was a "bumper" year for Nguyen Thi Duong: 1 individual Gold Medal and a team Silver Medal at the 6th National Sports Festival; Gold Medal at the Southeast Asian Student Sports Festival held in Chiang Mai (Thailand) this December. Head coach of the Taekwondo team of the Provincial Sports Training Center, Mr. Dang Dinh Hung could not hide his pride in his student: "Although not having the advantage in terms of physique and age, Duong has the advantage of speed, strength, endurance, flexibility, dexterity, plus perseverance and good endurance... That is what brings her success."
Duong is currently a second-year student in the Training Department at Tu Son University of Physical Education and Sports. His dream is to return to work as a Taekwondo coach after graduation, continuing to contribute to the sports of his home province...
