The number of motorboats serving tourists visiting Che Island on Cau Cau Lake has increased to 30, concentrated at 3 main piers (Dap, Khe Da, Cay Hong piers) and 5-6 secondary piers (in early 2016 there were only 2-3 rowing boats). To avoid competition for customers, boat owners at the piers have joined together to cooperate in transporting tourists. The boats have been numbered in order, entering and leaving the piers more orderly. Photo: Huy Thu |

Some households who own tea islands, after days of collecting fees for each boat trip (30,000 VND/boat/visit to the island), have switched to collecting fees per person (5,000 VND/person). They sit and watch at the tea islands and collect money (the boat that visits the island must pay). On February 4 alone, Ms. Tran Thi Than in Hamlet 3, Thanh An Commune collected about 4 million VND.
