Participating in the North Central Industry and Trade Fair, Nghe An enterprises brought a variety of products, from construction materials, products of Nghe An NASU Sugarcane Company, to goods and services appearing for the first time at the fair such as Tecombank with the aim of introducing product packages to meet the demand for year-end consumer loans. Although taking place in unfavorable weather, due to cold rain, the event was built with a large rain shelter structure consisting of 8 houses, each house has 50 booths arranged in clusters, so it still attracted a lot of customers.
At the booth of Que Phong district, many customers came to learn and buy products, including: Muong Noc rice, passion fruit, brocade, bamboo and rattan weaving (pressed to hold sticky rice, rattan trays...). In addition, there are many agricultural products such as taro, yellow wax potato, green squash, turmeric, dried bamboo shoots, wild honey... The saleswoman did not forget to introduce to us wild ginseng soaked in wine, Mu Tun wine soaked by people from Mu Tun tree - a medicinal herb of Que Phong forest. Mr. Hoang Van Tam - an officer of the Department of Industry and Trade of Que Phong district said that participating in the fair, the booth was supported by the district with costs from the 30a trade promotion program. The purpose is to promote local products and introduce products of craft villages. Currently, in Que Phong area, there are 5 craft villages (Dan weaving, Pa Nat weaving, Co Nhoong weaving, Na Nhang bamboo and rattan weaving and Pa Nat brocade). In addition to the products on display, the booth also introduced the potential of Que Phong. These are black pig, beef, duck products... and the great potential is hydropower. Up to now, in the district there have been 8 large and small hydropower plants, of which 3 plants have a total capacity of over 200MW...

Next door, the booth of Quy Chau district was bustling with people. In addition to the products of pickled bamboo shoots and brocade, many customers came to see and write down their phone numbers to order Ha Loan brand incense. It is known that after participating in the Nghe An Trade Fair in November 2013, Ha Loan incense from Quy Chau achieved good results. Following that success, this year, this facility continues to participate in the exhibition booth to exploit the market, especially at the time when Lunar New Year is approaching.
Visiting and shopping at the fair, Ms. Phung Thi Nga in Trung Do ward (Vinh city) shared: Usually, my family comes to visit and buy goods at every fair, enjoying regional specialties. This time I bought some household items such as bedding, and knives from the Mong people in Luong Minh (Tuong Duong). Although the price is quite high, up to 320,000 VND, I think the quality is good.
If Nghe An's mountainous products are very typical in this fair, many other provinces and cities also have products with very clear regional characteristics. These are Bac Ninh fine art wood, Thai Binh bronze products, Da Nang high-end garments, Da Lat dried flowers... At Lam Dong booth, Mr. Nguyen Trong Tri - booth owner said that he has participated in many fairs in the South and the North, but this is the first time he has a booth in Nghe An. The booth's products such as dried food, Da Lat dried flowers..., are visited and asked to buy by many people. Sales are just one goal, what Mr. Tri hopes is that through the fair, Da Lat products will be known to many people and this will be a channel for him to trade and connect in the future.

The general trade fair - part of the 2014 National Trade Promotion Program held in Nghe An attracted 400 booths of 200 enterprises from 22 provinces and cities across the country: Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Gia Lai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Binh Dinh... In addition, there was also the participation of enterprises from the provinces of Khammouane, Bolikhamxay, Vientiane of Laos; the provinces of Sakhon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Bung Can, Noong Khai, Ubon Ratchathani of Thailand.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Hung - Director of Nghe An Trade Promotion Center said: In 400 booths, Nghe An alone has 70 booths of enterprises and 50 booths of districts and towns; in addition, there are 50 booths of trade promotion centers of provinces and cities across the country. Many businesses participate with the goal of surveying the market to learn about opportunities to bring products into the market and prepare for the supply of goods at the end of the year. The products coming to the fair are very diverse and rich with many purposes: serving the needs of consumption, production, business, introducing the potential, achievements of economic development, investment, trade, tourism of provinces and localities at home and abroad.
Thus, the fair has truly ensured both the festival and the market. In particular, during the visit to the fair on the opening night, the provincial leaders and guests highly appreciated the introduction and display of "Nghe An Topbrand" products, strong products and services that can create added value. That shows the competitiveness of products, the development plan of Nghe An as well as the provinces in the region and the provinces and cities in the country, attracting the attention of importers, distributors, agents... From here, opportunities for export, cooperation, investment...
Taking place from December 1-7, 2014 with many programs of trade promotion, product and brand promotion, promotion of potential, development achievements..., the Fair promises to be an effective bridge, an important trade promotion channel, creating conditions for localities, enterprises, cooperatives to trade, seek business cooperation opportunities; at the same time contributing to promoting trade promotion and investment activities between the North Central provinces in particular and the whole country in general.
Within the framework of the 2014 North Central Industry and Trade Fair, a program connecting businesses of Nghe An - Dong Nai - Laos - Thailand took place. Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An introduced the economic situation and trade in the border provinces of Nghe An with Laos - Thailand; the economic situation and import-export activities of Dong Nai; exchanges between businesses of Nghe An - Dong Nai - Laos - Thailand on the market situation, business opportunities, investment opportunities, connection of production and trade activities... At the end of the program, 1 contract and 8 agreements were signed between businesses. |
