Great opportunities for Vietnamese workers to work in Germany.
Vietnam and Germany are gradually realizing their joint declaration on cooperation in the field of labor migration, in order to facilitate Vietnamese workers' employment in this market.
This information was presented at a workshop on promoting labor cooperation and preparing for the Vietnam-Germany Forum on Labor Migration, jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, on the afternoon of July 18th.
Earlier, during the official visit of the German President to Vietnam, the Ministries of Labour of the two countries signed a Joint Declaration of Intent concerning cooperation in the field of labor migration. This declaration marks an important milestone, creating a new framework for cooperation to help meet the labor needs of both sides.

According to Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan, in order to implement the Minister's Joint Statement, both sides need to strengthen mechanisms for information exchange; and enhance substantive cooperation efforts that bring practical benefits to both countries. Therefore, both sides have agreed to organize the Vietnam-Federal Republic of Germany Labour Forum in Berlin.
"I believe that with the efforts of both sides, labor cooperation between Vietnam and Germany will continue to develop, contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries," Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan stated.
According to leaders of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the forum will be an important step in preparing for larger-scale cooperation events in the field of labour during the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany in 2025.
Ms. Leonie Gebers, State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, expressed satisfaction with the results of labour cooperation between the two countries in recent years.
In particular, Ms. Leonie Gebers highly appreciated the quality of Vietnamese workers in terms of their learning attitude, skill improvement, and ability to integrate into the German workforce.
"Vietnamese people in Germany not only contribute to economic development but also actively participate in local social activities," shared Leonie Gebers.
Ms. Leonie Gebers also emphasized that the Joint Statement has opened a new chapter in labor cooperation between the two countries and laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of this partnership.
The organization of the Vietnam-Germany Labour Forum in Berlin is expected to be an important stepping stone to promote labour cooperation between the two countries.
Germany is one of the world's leading developed economies, with a high standard of living and a professional working environment. Therefore, expanding labor cooperation with Germany is seen as a great opportunity for Vietnamese workers to improve their income, skills, and broaden their horizons.
However, representatives from both ministries stated that, in order for labor cooperation between the two countries to be highly effective, many challenges still need to be overcome, such as differences in culture, language, professional qualifications, and legal regulations.
To address these challenges, both sides need to strengthen cooperation in areas such as vocational training, providing labor market information, and supporting workers in adapting to new work environments.
At the same time, Vietnamese businesses also need to proactively seek information about the German labor market and develop training programs that meet the needs of German employers.
