Yesterday afternoon (January 6), Hai Phong Football Club signed a sponsorship contract with LG and changed its name to LG Hai Phong.

Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee had a working session with Mr. Tae Yeon Ko - General Director of LG Electronics Vietnam. In particular, LG Electronics Vietnam committed to accompany Hai Phong sports and especially Hai Phong Football Club. The value and term of the sponsorship contract have not been disclosed, but both sides committed to creating the most favorable conditions for the economic and sports development of Hai Phong.
According to the decision, Hai Phong football team will be named LG Hai Phong and tomorrow (January 7), Hai Phong team leaders will send a letter to VPF and the V-League Organizing Committee to request a name change and use it starting from the time of approval. This is good news for Hai Phong football in a season that is predicted to be difficult and coach Truong Viet Hoang and his team have just experienced a glorious 3-0 victory on SLNA's field on the opening day of V-League 2015.
