Malaysia Airlines shares fall to record low
The disappearance of flight MH370 has sent shares of Malaysia Airlines to their lowest level in 15 years. The ringgit has also fallen 0.5% against the US dollar.

Shares of Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) lost about 8% in morning trading and fell to their lowest level since 2000. During the trading session, the code fell as much as 12% - the biggest drop since late 2012, to 0.22 ringgit. This is considered a consequence of the disappearance of the airline's Boeing 777 two days ago.
On the Malaysian stock market, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCL index also fell 0.5% when it opened this morning. At the same time, the ringgit also lost 0.5% against the USD.
Malaysia and several countries are searching for the missing Boeing 777-200 MH370 near the Gulf of Thailand en route to Beijing (China) with 239 people including crew. The fate of the missing plane is still unclear.
Vietnam and international rescue forces began search operations that morning, with a total of 21 planes and 39 ships. Vietnam alone prepared a force of 9 planes and 11 ships of various types.
