Man Utd beat Southampton
Although rated higher, Man Utd did not start well on Southampton's field. Coach Erik Ten Hag's team had less ball possession and fewer passes in the first half.
In the 31st minute, Man Utd faced the risk of conceding a goal before Diogo Dalot fouled an opponent in the penalty area, giving Southampton a penalty.

However, at the 11m mark, rookie Cameron Archer missed a regrettable opportunity. Andre Onana guessed Archer's intention to shoot, dived to the right to save Man Utd.
Excited after Onana's heroic moment, Man Utd immediately pressed forward in search of the opening goal. In the 35th minute, Matthijs de Ligt suddenly appeared in the penalty area to receive a cross from his teammate. The former Ajax star jumped high and headed the ball, raising the score to 1-0 for Man Utd.
Five minutes later, it was Marcus Rashford's turn to "open his account" in the new season. The English striker skillfully handled Amad Diallo's pass, finishing coolly past Aaron Ramsdale.
Man Utd played slowly in the second half and did not create many notable opportunities. Southampton's hopes were extinguished after captain Jack Stephens received a straight red card.
He tackled Alejandro Garnacho fiercely, while preventing a dangerous counter-attack from the visitors. International experts assessed that referee Stuart Atwell made the correct decision.
In the final minutes of the match, Dalot crossed smoothly for Garnacho to score the third goal for the "Red Devils". The main credit for this goal belonged to Casemiro, who had an impressive pass to Dalot down the sideline.
The match ended with a 3-0 victory for Man Utd. They extended their unbeaten streak against Southampton to 17, including 16 matches in the Premier League. Coach Erik Ten Hag and his team rose to 8th place in the rankings.
Liverpool shockingly lost at home
Liverpool surprisingly lost 0-1 to Nottingham Forest at home at Anfield in round 4 of the Premier League this season.
On the evening of September 14 (Hanoi time), the biggest surprise since the beginning of the Premier League season took place. An impressive Liverpool, playing at home, unexpectedly lost to the team that struggled to stay in the league last season.
Hudson-Odoi's stunning goal in the 72nd minute stunned the entire Anfield stadium. Liverpool were in complete control of the game, with 70% possession and 14 shots on goal.

However, having just returned from a series of national team matches, the "The Kop" stars showed signs of fatigue. Their coordination lacked sharpness and efficiency. Throughout the match, Liverpool only had 5 shots on target.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest did not need many shots (5), but 3 of them were on target. Hudson-Odoi's handling at the end of the second half proved this.
The former Chelsea star had a beautiful curling shot from outside the Liverpool penalty area, sealing a 1-0 victory for the visitors. Former Manchester United star Elanga was the one who assisted Hudson-Odoi to score.
In the remaining minutes, "The Kop" pressed forward to find a goal, but failed. Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest for the first time at home at Anfield in the Premier League.
Even when Nunez was brought on, Liverpool could not turn the situation around.
This defeat also caused Liverpool's winning streak in the Premier League to end and they lost the top spot to Man City, who beat Brentford 2-1 in the same match.
Manager Arne Slot clearly has a lot of work to do with Liverpool and the Dutchman is starting to understand the harshness of the Premier League after the previous "honeymoon" period.
