Who else thinks about Cam Pha stadium?

The V-League Organizing Committee has continued to postpone the match between Than Quang Ninh and HAGL from August 4 to August 5, but the players are worried, and the people of Quang Ninh have no mind to think about football and Cam Pha stadium at this time.

For the second time, Than Quang Ninh Club sent a letter to the V-League 2015 Organizing Committee requesting to postpone the match in round 19 with HAGL. For the second time, Mr. Pham Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Club, spoke up: "We put tickets on sale on August 2 and a significant number of tickets were sold. However, I feel uneasy because the people of the mining area are struggling with the heaviest rain in the past 40 years."

A few days ago, midfielder Nghiem Xuan Tu of Than Quang Ninh also posted his thoughts on Facebook when he heard that VPF accepted the request to postpone the match until August 4: "I wonder why you guys don't schedule a time a little further away from this "gloomy" weather, which is like a natural disaster.

Everyone does not want the match to be postponed, but: First: The team does not have a field to practice. Second: The psychology of living in the eye of the storm is always very unstable. Third: In the situation where the people of Quang Ninh are day by day overcoming the consequences and losses caused by natural disasters (and do not know when the rain will stop), is it really reasonable for a football match to still take place?

Xuan Tu's last question is also a common question of many fans. On forums and fan pages of Than Quang Ninh Club, fans always agree with the view to postpone the match at Cam Pha Stadium indefinitely. When the people of the mining land are struggling with floods at present, thinking about the uncertain future, who would be interested in going to Cam Pha to cheer for football?!

Unlike many Quang Ninh people, HAGL does not want to postpone this match any longer. There is information that the match will be postponed unconditionally and is expected to be held in September.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh, Head of the HAGL Football Club, responded to those opinions. Mr. Tan Anh said that the weather was favorable enough for the match, so there was no need to postpone it for so long.

But everyone understands that Mr. Tan Anh’s HAGL team is facing difficult problems. If this match is postponed for too long, it will ruin the team’s leadership’s calculations in the relegation battle.

A team struggling to find a way out of the quagmire finally encountered a difficult situation. Mr. Tan Anh had to exclaim: “HAGL also wants to share the difficulties with the people of Quang Ninh, with the stadium organizers as well as the tournament organizers. But on the contrary, the team also hopes to receive sharing. If we were in a safe position, maybe everything would be different.” As Mr. Tan Anh said, if HAGL were in a position far from the relegated team, they would accept postponing the match indefinitely. But now, that is not the case, the match must take place this week.

It can be seen that this time, the V-League Organizing Committee quickly resolved the situation satisfactorily for both sides, based on the local situation, Than Quang Ninh's recommendations and HAGL's difficulties.

But the leaders of Vietnam's top league could still do better, which is to let the match take place on a neutral field in another northern province, such as Nam Dinh, Hai Phong or Hanoi.

That is the solution that can satisfactorily solve the difficulties of weather, safety for the players and most of all… the guilt of both teams towards the people of Quang Ninh. The Organizing Committee could have chosen another location to hold the match in the past week instead of having to decide twice to postpone the match and insist on holding it at Cam Pha Stadium. And when the people of Quang Ninh are in misery, Cam Pha certainly will not resound with the sound of trumpets and drums urging the home team to move forward.
