(Baonghean.vn) - The flood in Con Cuong district has basically ended. Since noon on September 21, 2013, there has been sunshine. However, the rain that lasted for 3 consecutive days in the upper stream has caused the Lam River to still rise, and many places are still flooded.

In some residential areas such as the riverside in Con Cuong town, Tien Thanh village (Chi Khe commune), Pha village (Yen Khe commune), many households were still flooded, water flooded into their houses, many corn fields along Lam river in Chi Khe and Bong Khe communes were flooded. According to information from Yen Khe commune People's Committee, during the recent flood, the whole commune had 20.5 hectares of winter-spring rice, 18 hectares of corn flooded, 12 hectares of fish ponds were swept away by floodwaters, causing hundreds of millions of dong in damage.
