The subject borrowed his mother-in-law's motorbike and two nephews' motorbike on the way to buy opium to resell to other subjects and was arrested.

The suspect is Thao A Di, born in 1999, H'Mong ethnic group, living in Pa Mu village, Hua Bum commune, Nam Nhun district, Lai Chau province, who was recently arrested by the authorities at km 14 + 200 of Pa Tan - Muong Te provincial road. The seized evidence was more than 400 grams of opium, 1 motorbike and 1 phone.

At the Border Guard Command, Thao A Di confessed that he borrowed his mother-in-law’s motorbike and went with his two nephews to buy opium. After buying the drugs, the two men rode their motorbikes to the meeting point to sell them to a man named Sung A Pao (address unknown) and were arrested.

When discovered by the working group, Thao A Di's two nephews ran away. Currently, Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard has initiated a criminal case and handed over the suspect and the evidence to Lai Chau Provincial Police to continue to expand the investigation of the case.

Since the beginning of the year, the anti-drug force of the Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard Command has discovered and arrested 15 cases, with 19 subjects for the acts of buying, selling, transporting and illegally storing drugs.

Border Guard Stations in the area also coordinated with Lai Chau Provincial Police and district police to arrest 10 cases with 11 subjects for illegal drug trafficking, transportation and storage.../.
