Go to court with a lawyer,Lee Si-Hyung, 34, struggled to get through a large press line surrounding the prosecutor's office in southern Seoul. Lee said he would answer all questions honestly from the prosecutors before going inside. The case centers on a project to purchase a plot of land in southern Seoul, jointly carried out by Lee Si-Hyung and the Presidential Security Service. In addition to being used to build a retirement home for the president, the area also includes housing for security forces.

But the costs of buying the land and building it were not shared equally. It is alleged that the security service paid too much, while Lee’s son got the land for less than the market price. Last week, prosecutors ordered Lee and 10 people involved in the project not to leave the country while the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators also raided the residence of President Lee Sang-Eun's brother and his office at car seat maker DAS, where he is chairman, in the city of Gyeongju.
