Bin Laden's son speaks out against Syrian President
The son of terrorist Osama bin Laden has called on Muslims around the world to stand with rebel forces in Syria to confront the country's President Bashar al-Assad.
In an audio recording of unknown date broadcast on Al-Qaeda's propaganda network on September 14, Hamza bin Laden said: "The cause of Syria is the cause of the entire Muslim community around the world."

Hamza bin Laden asked Muslims around the world to support rebels in Syria to fight against the government of Mr. Assad and Shiite Muslims.
According to AFP news agency (France), Hamza has been a propagandist for Al-Qaeda since US special forces killed his father, Osama bin Laden, in May 2011 in Pakistan.
The US added Hamza bin Laden to its terrorist blacklist in January this year. The US revealed that Hamza bin Laden was born in 1989 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Hamza bin Laden's mother is Khairiah Sabar - one of Osama bin Laden's three wives.
In 2016, experts began to notice Hamza bin Laden’s growing role in Al-Qaeda. The US State Department designated Hamza bin Laden as a “specially designated terrorist” and all of his assets in US jurisdictions were frozen.
In another audio recording released in August, Hamza bin Laden also urged supporters in Saudi Arabia to overthrow the country's leader.
Analysts say it is likely that Hamza bin Laden is preparing to take over leadership of Al-Qaeda and will take advantage of the defeat of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq to unify the global extremist Islamic movement under Al-Qaeda.
Thomas Joscelyn, a scholar specializing in Al-Qaeda at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a New York-based organization, worries that Al-Qaeda is now more dangerous than ever. “IS is an organization that wants to stab you in the neck, but Al-Qaeda is aiming to attack your back,” Mr. Joscelyn said on the Australian television program 60 Minutes.
