Hoang Mai Police: Two arrests in two cases of property theft in two days.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of April 16th, the Hoang Mai Town Police announced that they are temporarily detaining a group of suspects who committed theft within a school.

Between December 2013 and April 2014, numerous thefts occurred in Hoang Mai town, particularly at several schools. Following reports from school leaders about burglaries targeting computers and printers, the Hoang Mai town police established Special Case 414T to investigate the matter. At 10 PM on April 15th, while the group was planning another break-in at several schools in Hoang Mai town, police suddenly raided the premises and arrested seven suspects. The arrested individuals include: Le Duc Viet, born in 1995; Nguyen Van Tung, born in 1994; Nguyen Van Son, born in 1996; Nguyen Van Hoang, born in 1993; and Vu Xuan Thien, born in 1995. Nguyen Van Hoang, born in 1995, resides in Quynh Lien ward, and Phan Van Gioi, born in 1998, resides in Tan Hai block, Quynh Phuong ward.

According to their confessions, the group of suspects had broken into schools three times to steal property. Specifically, at Quynh Lap Secondary School, they broke locks and stole three computer sets and one printer with a total value of over 35 million VND. At Quynh Lien Kindergarten, they stole three computer sets worth over 32 million VND; and most recently at Quynh Lien Primary School, they broke locks and stole three computer sets and three printers worth 41 million VND. The total value of the thefts from schools in all three incidents exceeded 100 million VND.

The suspects confessed that, lacking money for entertainment, personal expenses, or gaming, they conspired to break into schools to steal equipment.

The police in Hoang Mai town are currently investigating and expanding the case to prosecute the suspects according to the law.

Also on the afternoon of April 16th, the Hoang Mai Town Police announced that they had successfully solved a cattle theft case involving three suspects.

Accordingly, at around 11 PM on April 14th, Le Dang Hai, born in 1962, residing in Block 9, Quynh Thien Ward; Le Dinh Hien, born in 1963; and Dau Minh Can, born in 1962, both residing in Quynh Trang Commune, were planning to sell the stolen cattle when they were unexpectedly caught red-handed by the police. The seized evidence included 10 cows, with a total value exceeding 180 million VND. In their statements to the police, the thieves stated that the stolen cattle were all from Quynh Tan Commune, Quynh Luu District. Taking advantage of the hilly and deserted area, they broke into people's homes to steal the cattle. After stealing them, they would gather the cattle in one place and take advantage of the late night to sell them elsewhere. In addition, the suspects stated that they had previously successfully stolen cattle from local people on numerous occasions and sold them in various places.

The police are currently continuing their investigation to clarify the matter.
