Nghe An police have issued and renewed over 2,000 driver's licenses and criminal record certificates.
With a people-centered approach, upon taking on the task of renewing driver's licenses and providing public services for issuing criminal record certificates, the Nghe An Provincial Police promptly stabilized its organization and implemented the work scientifically and efficiently, quickly meeting the needs of the people.

In recent days, the One-Stop Service Center of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Public Security has been constantly crowded with people coming to complete procedures for renewing driver's licenses, making this area the busiest service point.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ham Thang, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police), following the direction of the Provincial Police Directorate, upon taking on the task, the unit directed the Motor Vehicle Driving License Examination and Issuance Team to quickly stabilize its organization and implement its work scientifically and efficiently, without affecting the normal activities of citizens and businesses.
With the motto "serving the people is the top priority," all officers and soldiers are instilled with the spirit of "work until the job is done, not until the clock runs out," ensuring that the needs for driver's license renewal are met promptly, without interruption or disruption.
In fact, to ensure the successful completion of the task and the uninterrupted handover process, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Public Security proactively coordinated with the Department of Transport to organize training courses on driver's license examination and issuance for officers and soldiers directly involved in this task. At the same time, thorough preparation of facilities, equipment, and machinery was also carried out.
In the early days, with the support of officials from the Department of Transportation to ensure the smooth processing of driver's license renewals, the Traffic Police Department promptly increased its personnel, deploying additional officers and soldiers to ensure efficient service for the public. Each step in the process, from guiding people to obtain queue numbers and receiving documents to paying fees, was guided attentively by traffic police officers, making the procedure quick and efficient.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Giap, residing in Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district, shared: “When preparing to go through the procedures, I was quite worried about having to wait a long time due to the large number of people. However, in reality, I was guided very attentively and thoughtfully by the traffic police officers. The steps were carried out quickly, without any inconvenience, and I didn't have to wait long.”
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a resident who had just completed the procedure for renewing her driver's license, also said: "Although the number of people coming to complete the procedures at the One-Stop Service Department of the Provincial Traffic Police was quite large, I found the working process quite convenient. In addition to receiving applications in person, the Traffic Police Department also arranged officers to guide people through the steps of issuing and renewing driver's licenses online, which saved time and reduced the crowds."
According to the compiled results, from March 1st to the present, the One-Stop Service Department of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Public Security has received and processed a total of 1,202 applications for driver's license renewal, including 811 cases processed in person and 391 cases processed online.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ham Thang, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, said: "In the coming time, the Provincial Police will continue to expand and set up more locations for receiving applications for driver's license renewal in the area to better serve the people."
The procedure for issuing criminal record certificates is quick and easy.
Similarly, at the One-Stop Service Center of the Provincial Police Department, there has been a large number of people coming to handle administrative procedures in recent days, including the issuance of criminal record certificates. The Provincial Police Department's Records and Operations Division, with its proactive approach to receiving applications, has quickly processed and issued criminal record certificates to citizens with a streamlined and compliant procedure, ensuring no disruption or impact on citizens' rights.
In just a few minutes, thanks to the dedicated support from the staff of the Criminal Records Department, Ms. Ngo Thi Oanh, from Quy Hop district, completed the procedure for obtaining a criminal record certificate on the VNeID software. Ms. Oanh shared: "I am very satisfied with the working process here. The staff provided very thorough guidance, the procedure was quick, and I didn't have to wait long."
In fulfilling its responsibilities of managing state records and providing public services for issuing criminal record certificates, the Professional Records Department of the Provincial Police Department handles the entire process, from receiving citizen requests to conducting verification, eliminating intermediate steps. The verification and issuance of criminal records are carried out quickly and efficiently.
From March 1st to the present, the Criminal Records Department of the Provincial Police has received and processed 1,226 administrative procedure applications for criminal record certificates, including 564 applications processed in person and 662 applications processed online.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dang Thi Bich Thuy, Deputy Head of the Criminal Records Department of the Provincial Police, following the direction of the Provincial Police Director, the unit proactively researched and advised on the development of a plan for receiving and processing applications, while also proposing the necessary conditions regarding facilities, equipment, and human resources. The department proactively assigned officers and soldiers to promptly handle the work, ensuring stable and smooth operations to conveniently serve citizens when they come to resolve procedures.
Currently, the Criminal Records Department of the Provincial Police issues criminal record certificates through four methods. In addition to visiting the Provincial Police's One-Stop Service Center in person, citizens can complete the procedure via the VNeID application, the Public Service Portal, and postal services. However, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police leadership, and to maximize convenience for citizens, the Criminal Records Department encourages the use of online public services and guides citizens in applying for criminal record certificates through the VNeID application.
With this method, citizens can track the progress and results of their applications regardless of their location. If they wish to obtain a physical copy, they can register, and the criminal record certificate will be delivered to their home, saving them time and travel costs.
