Nghe An police detain man who entered school and beat teacher
Ha Van Thuy came to school to pick up his child while drunk and beat the homeroom teacher despite everyone's intervention.
On May 1, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Nghe An Provincial Police, said that the unit is currently detaining Ha Van Thuy (born in 1985), residing in Bac Thang hamlet, Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, to continue investigating and clarifying the act of disturbing public order.
Previously, at about 4:45 p.m. on April 28, 2025, Tan Thang Commune Police received information about a public disorder at Tan Thang Commune Primary School and reported to Local Working Group No. 01 (under the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, Provincial Police).
Immediately afterwards, Local Working Group No. 01 coordinated with Tan Thang Commune Police to quickly arrive at the scene to verify and clarify.

Through initial investigation, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency determined: At about 4:30 p.m. on April 28, 2025, Ha Van Thuy went to Bac Thang school, Tan Thang Primary School to pick up his child while under the influence of alcohol.
When seeing Thuy not wearing a raincoat, teacher LXH asked "why did you come to pick up your child without wearing a raincoat?" The subject responded with threatening words and a strong smell of alcohol. Seeing the unusual behavior, teacher H. avoided and went somewhere else.

However, as they continued to move, Ha Van Thuy suddenly approached and assaulted teacher Nguyen Thi KN (homeroom teacher of the 3+4 combined class). Specifically, the subject grabbed her hair, used his hands to hit Ms. N. in the face and then restrained her, dragged her to the middle of the school yard, standing in the rain, despite the dissuasion of some other parents.
At the police station, the subject showed remorse, repeatedly apologized to the teacher and admitted that he was drunk and could not control his actions.
Currently, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency is completing the file to handle the subject in accordance with the provisions of law.
