After months of surveillance, on the afternoon of January 13, hundreds of police officers from Nghe An Provincial Police and the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) surrounded and raided a 4-story karaoke bar in Nam Dan town, arresting the subjects who were gambling.
“Currently, the number of subjects and evidence is being classified and proven, because it is related to the criminals and evidence of the case. There are all kinds of participants,” said Colonel Hung.
According to the Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, these gamblers come from all over the country, residing in many districts and cities in the province, including those from outside the province.
“The locations where these subjects gamble are not stable, but move around in many localities. Sometimes in the forest, sometimes in the middle of the river, sometimes in karaoke bars and motels. This makes it difficult for the police to monitor and arrest them,” Colonel Hung added.
