Nghe An Police: Building a civilized lifestyle and manners to serve the people

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 4, Nghe An Police held a conference to summarize 5 years of the People's Police movement to study and implement Uncle Ho's 6 teachings (2008-2013 period). Attending were Colonel Dao Gia Bao - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security), Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police.

After 5 years of implementing Directive No. 05/CT-BCA dated May 26, 2011 of the Minister of Public Security on continuing to promote the movement "People's Public Security studying and implementing 6 teachings of Uncle Ho" (2008-2013 period), Nghe An Public Security has concretized the content of "5 construction, 5 fighting". Specifically: Building patriotism, strong political will; will to attack crime; awareness of law compliance, spirit of serving the people. Over the past 5 years, the team of Party committees, leaders and commanders of public security units from the province to the grassroots have promoted the exemplary role, taking the lead and setting an example in studying and following Uncle Ho's moral example; implementing well the ethical standards of revolutionary public security.

The provincial police leadership has focused on directing the promotion of administrative reform, from internal to social. Specifically, the movement "Saturday, Sunday for the people" aims to address the requests and aspirations of organizations, businesses and citizens. In addition, many units and localities have taken specific actions such as sending cadres to remote villages of the province every month to help people with procedures for issuing ID cards, coordinating with the provincial post office to deploy the express delivery service of ID cards to citizens' residential addresses (in 2012, over 60,000 cases were delivered).

Regarding propaganda work, the provincial police have focused on promoting on mass media the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example, implementing Uncle Ho's 6 teachings. Of which, 261 radio programs and 140 television programs have been produced, 738 news reports and 238 reports have been sent to broadcast. 1,550 news reports and 527 articles have been published reflecting on all aspects of Nghe An police work. The crime index in our province is equal to the national average. Every year, criminal and serious crimes are contained. The rate of criminal investigation and solving is 79.8%, of which serious crimes are over 98%.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong praised the achievements of Nghe An Public Security over the past 5 years of implementing Directive No. 05 of the Minister of Public Security. He emphasized that "The Public Security force must identify the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security as an important and core foundation for building professional ethics. In addition, it is necessary to focus on building and strengthening the close relationship between the police and the people. Third, it is necessary to combine the movement of studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho with the implementation of the campaign "People's Public Security strictly obeys the orders; builds a cultural lifestyle to serve the people".

Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Director of the Provincial Police Department awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 43 individuals with high achievements.

Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 43 individuals with high achievements.
