Quynh Luu Police: Arrested the subject who caused 6 thefts of couples during Tet

(Baonghean.vn)- Two 9X subjects within one week committed 6 robberies of phones and motorbikes from 6 couples talking under the casuarina trees.

On February 10, 2012, Colonel Tran Son, Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Department of Quynh Luu District, Nghe An, signed a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Ho Duc Trung (1993) and Ho Viet Trieu (1992) for robbery.

According to the investigation agency, within 1 week, these two subjects caused 6 robberies of couples who were talking in deserted places in the coastal casuarinas. Specifically, at about 9 pm on February 3, 2012, Nguyen Ngoc Cuong (born in 1992), residing in Tien Thanh hamlet, Tien Thuy commune, brought his girlfriend Le Thi Ly (born in 1993), residing in Quynh Luong commune, here to talk. While they were talking, a motorbike carrying 2 young men rushed in. Cuong was stunned when a sharp, shiny sword was pressed against his neck. The subjects searched Cuong's entire body and took away 2 mobile phones. Then they took Cuong's Air Blade motorbike with license plate: 37P8-5533 and sped away.

After the incident, Mr. Cuong filed a report with the Quynh Luu District Police. Immediately after, the Quynh Luu District Police began investigating and received information that the subject was driving to Hanoi.

At the same time, at about 5:00 a.m. on February 4, 2012, a working group of Team 12, Hanoi Mobile Police, was on duty at the Phap Van intersection, Hoang Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District. They discovered a young man riding a motorbike with suspicious signs and immediately ordered him to stop. Immediately, the subject and the evidence were brought to the Hoang Mai Police Headquarters. There, he confessed that his name was Ho Duc Trung (born in 1993) from Hamlet 5, Quynh Luong Commune, Quynh Luu District. Trung confessed that he and Nguyen Viet Trieu (born in 1992, Hamlet 7, Quynh Luong, Quynh Luu District) were the perpetrators of the above robbery and brought the motorbike to Hanoi to sell it when they were arrested.

After being extradited to Nghe An, both subjects confessed honestly. They confessed that within just 10 days of Tet, they had committed 6 robberies at the above location, all of which were against couples. They further confessed that on the night of January 26, 2012 (the 4th day of Tet), they robbed the first couple of 2 Nokia E71 and Nokia 1208 cell phones. On the night of January 28 (the 6th day of Tet), they robbed the second couple of 2 Q.mobile mobile phones. On the night of January 29 (the 7th day of Tet), they robbed the third couple of 2 FPT and Nokia cell phones. On the night of January 31 (the 9th day of Tet), they robbed the fourth couple of 2 Nokia cell phones. On the night of February 2 (January 11), they robbed the fifth couple of 2 Nokia 1202 and 1280 cell phones.

At the Quynh Luu police detention center this morning (February 10), they revealed a regretful tone: We know that couples who come here to confide, when robbed, are afraid to report so they act freely. The sixth case on the night of February 3, the biggest mistake was greed, robbing the motorbike, which was why it was exposed. There were so many other cases, we can't remember them all.

Talking to us, Colonel Tran Son - Deputy Chief of Quynh Luu District Police, worried: For these cases, every time the soldiers approach the victims, everyone is afraid and avoids them, making it difficult for the investigation. The story of confiding in a deserted place is extremely dangerous, and has been warned many times, but the couples do not accept it. There are certainly other victims. We hope they will come forward to find their property, help the investigation agency handle the case, and their identities will be kept confidential...".

Currently, Quynh Luu District Police are continuing to investigate the above cases.
