Police detain suspect of causing forest fire in Hong Linh
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities have controlled the pine forest fire on Hong Linh mountain. The suspect who caused the fire has been arrested by the police.

By early afternoon on June 29, firefighters had controlled a decades-old pine forest fire on Hong Linh mountain (Xuan An town, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh).

More than 1,000 people including the Fire Police, Ha Tinh Provincial Police, forest rangers, Nghi Xuan District Military Command, forest rangers, Border Guard forces, Special Forces Battalion D31 (Command of Military Region 4), district police, militia, organizations, unions and local people, along with vehicles, concentrated on extinguishing the fire.

On the morning of June 29, Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized and sent 4 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to Hong Linh Mountain to join the functional forces of Ha Tinh Province to fight the forest fire. The Coast Guard also increased its forces to the scene to try to put out the fire. However, due to hot weather and strong winds, the firefighting work encountered many difficulties.
To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, households at the foot of Hong Linh mountain were evacuated to a safe place; petrol and oil pumps in block 2, Xuan An town and Gia Lach (in Xuan An town) of the petroleum company were removed and relocated away from the area at risk of the fire spreading.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Thanh - Head of Nghi Xuan District Police said that Nghi Xuan District Police have investigated and arrested a man (in Hamlet 7, Xuan Hong Commune, Nghi Xuan District) to investigate the forest fire.
“We are investigating and verifying, so we cannot provide the specific identity of the person involved in the forest fire. We are investigating and clarifying whether this person intentionally set fire to the forest or accidentally caused the forest fire,” said Lieutenant Colonel Thanh.

As reported, at around 1:00 p.m. on June 28, a large forest fire broke out in the pine forest of Sub-region 92A, Village 7, Xuan Hong Commune (Nghi Xuan - Ha Tinh), forcing more than 100 households near Hong Linh Mountain to move to safety. By 11:00 p.m., the fire was extinguished by forest rangers, soldiers (District Military Command), Special Forces Battalion D31 (Command of Military Region 4), Nghi Xuan District Police, 2 fire trucks from the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police and local people.
Pine forest on Hong Linh mountain burned like a sea of fire
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 1:00 p.m. on June 28, a large forest fire broke out in the pine forest area of sub-area 92A, village 7, Xuan Hong commune (Nghi Xuan - Ha Tinh). The fire broke out fiercely, threatening many houses.
However, at 3 a.m. today (June 29), a fire broke out again in the pine forest area on Hong Linh Mountain in Xuan An Town and Xuan Hong Commune. The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, mobilized 6 fire trucks and 30 soldiers to support the fire fighting at Hong Linh Mountain.
