Vinh City Police: Arrested a group of people who broke car windows to steal property

(Baonghean.vn)- On July 28, Vinh City Police announced that the unit had just successfully broken up Project 501K, arresting 3 subjects who caused 32 cases of breaking car windows to steal property in Vinh City.

The subjects include: Nguyen Van Cuong (born in 1988), residing in Van Trung block, Hung Dung ward, Tran Duc Thanh (born in 1993) and Vuong Van Long (born in 1990), all residing in Hung Loc commune (Vinh city). Among the above subjects, Long was the leader who planned and then took action with his accomplices.

Vuong Van Long is the ringleader in the car window breaking case.

Previously, since the beginning of March 2015, in Vinh City, there have been many cases of breaking car windows to steal property, causing discontent in residential areas, especially in high-rise apartment buildings, car parks and parking lots. Their trick is to take advantage of rainy days and the carelessness of car owners when parking on the street without anyone watching to commit crimes.

To arrest the above subjects, Vinh City Police established Project 501K to fight and clarify. After a period of investigation and verification, by professional measures, by 24:00 on July 25, the police agency urgently arrested 3 subjects. The seized exhibits included many watches, phones and laptops, with a total value of nearly 600 million VND.

In addition, the police also arrested the subject who specialized in consuming assets in the thefts caused by the above 3 subjects, Nguyen Thai Hung (born in 1974), hamlet 14, Hung Loc commune, Vinh city. The case is currently being investigated and handled according to the provisions of the law.
