Vinh City Police discuss measures to prevent crimes at gold, silver and gemstone shops
(Baonghean) –This morning, September 16, Vinh City Police met with company directors and owners of gold, silver and gemstone shops in the area to discuss measures to prevent crimes in this field. Also attending were representatives of the Ministry of Public Security and some professional departments of Nghe An Province Police.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Sy Phang - Deputy Head of Vinh City Police Department mentioned some typical cases in the country and in Vinh City about the methods, elements, time, and patterns of the criminals at gold shops. Representative of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant Colonel Chu Viet Khoa mentioned some experiences in installing camera systems in front of stores, alarm systems, and anti-robbery systems with phone numbers installed in convenient locations.

On that basis, Vinh City Police reminded businesses and shop owners of gold, silver and precious stones to take good precautions, to be vigilant and to guard against the tricks and brazen acts of criminals. Large stores need to install cameras with wide viewing ranges. Tricks to pay attention to include criminals causing fires and causing disturbances in front of gold shops... When transporting gold, there should be 2 or more people, and gold jewelry and precious stones should not be worn blatantly.
