On the morning of July 20, at Huong Hoa District General Hospital, Quang Tri Province, three newborn babies died immediately after being vaccinated against hepatitis B.

Previously, on the evening of July 19, at the General Hospital of the mountainous district of Huong Hoa, Quang Tri province, 3 mothers were admitted and all 3 cases gave birth normally. All the babies were able to breastfeed.

At 8:00 a.m. this morning, doctors administered the hepatitis B vaccine, given to newborns within the first 24 hours of birth, as part of the expanded immunization program.

After 30 minutes of injection, all 3 children showed signs of cyanosis and cried loudly. Doctors took them to the emergency room according to the correct procedure, but they died.

Doctor Tran Van Thanh - Director of Quang Tri Province Department of Health confirmed that immediately after the incident, the Director of Quang Tri Department of Health and specialized departments went to Huong Hoa Hospital to inspect and handle the case. Currently, the police are also investigating./.
