Announcing 19 Executive Committee members and President of the Transport Industry Trade Union for the 2017-2022 term
(Baonghean.vn)-In the 2017-2022 term, the Transport Industry Trade Union set the goal of continuing to innovate and create union activities, actively contributing to the development of the transport industry.
On the morning of December 12, the Transport Industry Trade Union held the 9th Congress, term 2017-2022. Attending the Congress were representatives of the Ministry of Transport Trade Union, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Public Security Sector.

During the past term, with the close leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, and the facilitation of the government from the industry to the grassroots level, along with the efforts to overcome difficulties, trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLĐ) in the entire industry have achieved important results.
In particular, the Transport Industry Trade Union always focuses on taking care of the lives, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees.

For many years, the industry trade union has actively innovated the content and methods of operation, promoting the role of trade union organizations, cadres, and workers.
Promote patriotic emulation movements to contribute to the successful implementation of political tasks, complete and exceed the targets of the 8th Trade Union Congress resolution, specifically: Every year, 100% of administrative units organize conferences for civil servants; 75% of enterprises organize conferences for workers. Organizing conferences has created a democratic and exciting atmosphere, contributing to solving difficulties, creating jobs and stability in agencies, units and enterprises.
Currently, 70% of the industry's workers participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance (Those who do not participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance are mainly concentrated in taxi units, the reason: Workers participate in capital contribution, business cooperation, and have agreements with enterprises to voluntarily pay social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance).
Grassroots unions have joined with employers to build salary scales and labor norms; contributed opinions and protected the legitimate rights of union members in meetings on salary increases, emulation, rewards, discipline, appointment, recruitment, training... 97% of employees have stable jobs; 3% have irregular jobs. The average income at the beginning of the term (December 2012) was 3,000,000 VND/person/month; by October 2017 it had increased to 4,500,000 VND/person/month, an increase of 150%.

In addition, the industry union has organized well the emulation movement of administrative reform of the industry, creating favorable conditions for organizations and people to come to do transactions. Coordinate with the government to implement solutions to improve state management capacity in the field of transport, improve the quality of planning and investment in transport infrastructure.
Mobilizing resources has attracted many projects, implementing investment in the construction of many important strategic traffic works: National highways, seaports, Vinh - Cua Lo boulevard, Tay Nghe An road, Truong Bon historical relic site, Thai Hoa - National Highway 1 - Dong Hoi road, N5 road, Tay Nghe An road, overpasses, etc.
In the 2017-2022 term, the Transport Industry Trade Union sets the goal of performing well the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; innovating and creating trade union activities, actively contributing to the development of the transport industry.

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 19 comrades, comrade Nguyen Khac Chuong - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Transport was elected as Chairman; comrade Vo Thi Thanh Phuong was elected as Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Transport Industry Trade Union; the Congress elected 8 comrades to attend the Nghe An Trade Union Congress, and 1 comrade to attend the Vietnam Transport Industry Trade Union Congress.
Main targets of the Transport Industry Trade Union for the 2017-2020 term: 80% or more of the grassroots trade unions are strong, no weak grassroots trade unions; 85% or more of the union members have achieved the title of excellent. The industry's trade unions are classified as good. During the term, at least 3 grassroots trade unions were established; over 200 union members were recruited; during the term, we strive to train and introduce over 100 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration; 100% of grassroots trade unions and 90% of union members participate in contributing to funds mobilized at all levels; 100% of enterprises have negotiated and signed collective labor agreements, over 60% of the signed collective labor agreements have more beneficial contents for employees than those prescribed by law; over 65% of employees of enterprises participate in social insurance. |
