On May 5 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) held a press conference on the “Safe Agricultural Products” Introduction Week and announced the “Green Address – Clean Agricultural Products” Program.

Regarding the reason for organizing this event, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Vu Van Tam said that consumers are currently facing urgent demands for the right to access safe agricultural products; in addition, it is necessary to promote communication activities to implement the action plan for the peak year of food safety in the agricultural sector in 2016 and the month of action for food safety.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and a number of units signed a commitment to provide safe food.

This is an event of special significance, creating new momentum and adding strength to action programs on food safety and hygiene in agriculture.

The program is an opportunity for the Ministry and localities to announce the list of units, businesses and individuals that are producing and trading agricultural products that have been granted certificates of product safety nationwide; guide consumers to find reliable shopping addresses and choose clean, safe products regularly for family life.
