Announcing the list of nominations for the Vietnam Golden Ball
On the morning of April 25, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Golden Ball Award announced the results of the first phase of the vote counting list of candidates with high scores for the titles.
Specifically, the Golden Ball award for men has 5 players: Huynh Quoc Anh (SHB Da Nang), Nguyen Trong Hoang (Song Lam Nghe An), Nguyen Minh Phuong (SHB Da Nang), Nguyen Van Quyet (Hanoi T&T) and Le Tan Tai (Khataco Khanh Hoa).

The Women's Golden Ball has 5 players: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Hanoi), Tran Thi Kim Hong (Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Thi Muon (Hanoi), Le Thi Thuong (Vietnam National Coal and Minerals) and Dang Thi Kieu Trinh (Ho Chi Minh City).
In addition, the list of outstanding foreign players, outstanding young male players, and outstanding young female players has also been announced by the Organizing Committee.
The 2012 Vietnam Golden Ball voting was launched in early March. The organizing committee consulted with reporters from news agencies, newspapers, experts, and football coaches. According to the organizing committee, the titles will be announced at the Gala Awards Night on May 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper - the organizer of the Vietnam Golden Ball Award, shared: Vietnamese football has made progress and is gradually moving towards professionalism, but in recent years, especially in 2012, football is considered a sad highlight in the overall picture of Vietnamese sports. However, through tournaments, whether successful or unsuccessful, the players still show great potential for Vietnamese football in the future. For that reason, the 18th Vietnam Golden Ball Award in 2012 was organized to motivate players to strive to improve their skills and cultivate ethics not only on the field but also in life.
Sticking to the criteria, the Vietnam Golden Ball award aims at the highest goal of honoring outstanding factors who have made many positive contributions to the club in particular and Vietnamese football in general over the past year./.
