Announcement of "floor scores" for university and college admissions in 2015 before August 1

According to the plan for organizing university and college admissions in 2015, the Ministry of Education and Training will publicly announce the criteria for ensuring input quality on the internet and in the mass media for candidates to know before August 1.

All candidates with high school exam scores below the threshold to ensure input quality as prescribed by the Ministry will not be allowed to apply to universities and colleges based on the scores of this exam.

According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, the Ministry is actively processing data and will try to release the admission threshold as soon as possible.

Mr. Ga said that this year's exam results mainly focused on the 5-6 point range. With this score range, middle-group schools will have a more abundant source of candidates than in previous years.

However, Deputy Minister Ga said that the above schools are not worried about a shortage of candidates because this year candidates register to choose schools after knowing their scores, so candidates with high scores will focus on registering for this group of schools.

In previous years, when the Ministry organized university and college entrance exams in the form of "three common" exams, the minimum score for university admission was usually from 13 to 14 points, the minimum score for college admission was usually from 10 to 12 points, depending on the exam block.

After the Ministry announces the scores, the examination clusters will issue score reports to candidates to apply for admission to universities and colleges. Schools will start accepting applications from candidates from August 1./.
