According to Mr. Ha Minh Hue, the topics with the largest number of works and the highest quality are those on Party building, the struggle to protect sovereignty over seas and islands, economic issues, agriculture, rural areas, the fight against corruption, negativity, and wrong, hostile, and anti-Party, State and regime viewpoints.
The works submitted for the award are generally of equal quality. The quality of press works, especially visual works from local press agencies this year is higher than last year, with some works competing with those from central press agencies, winning the highest awards in many categories.
The number of entries in the electronic newspaper is higher than last year, but they are not really typical of the genre and quality of "electronic" journalism. There are still many works that are collections of photos and photo captions but are labeled as reports or reflections.
Acknowledging the request of Infonet reporter, Mr. Ha Minh Hue said that the works winning the National Press Award will be posted on the website of the Vietnam Journalists Association for wide public announcement.
