Accordingly, the Forest Protection Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve has the function of assisting the Director of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve Management Board, the Forest Protection Sub-Department, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in managing and protecting forests, ensuring compliance with laws on forest protection and development.

The Forest Protection Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve has 12 positions, the Director of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve is also the Head of the Forest Protection Department, and 2 Deputy Heads of the Forest Protection Department. In the near future, the Forest Protection Department of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve will have a headquarters and 8 forest protection management stations.
