(Baonghean) -On the afternoon of December 13, in Dien Chau district, Nghe An Department of Construction coordinated with the Environmental Sustainable Development Component in Poor Urban Areas (Ministry of Construction) to organize a ceremony to announce the construction planning of Nghe An Coastal Region.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Ministry of Construction, departments, branches and sectors in the province, and officials of communes and wards in the planning area.

According to the planning (established by the Nghe An Institute of Architectural and Construction Planning), the Nghe An coastal region has a total natural area of nearly 50,000 hectares, including 29 communes, Cau Giat town and Hoang Mai town of Quynh Luu district; 17 communes and Dien Chau town; 16 communes and Quan Hanh town of Nghi Loc district and 7 wards of Cua Lo town. The Nghe An coastal region is a comprehensive economic region that plays a driving role in the North Central region with key economic sectors developing the economy of Nghe An, playing an important role in national security and defense and directly affecting neighboring Laos and the northeastern region of Thailand.
The objective of the planning is to promote regional advantages, on the basis of determining the nature and functions of the region, orienting the development of the region to become a key area, playing a leading role in the socio-economic development of Nghe An province. Orienting the space for urban development, rural residential areas, building an environmental protection strategy. Orienting the sustainable development of space for urban areas, economic zones, key rural residential villages... is the basis for guiding the implementation and management of construction investment in the region.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony of the construction planning of Nghe An coastal region for the period 2011 - 2025, with a vision to 2050, leaders of relevant departments, branches and districts and towns in the planning area proposed solutions for management and implementation in accordance with the planning.
