Announcement of the Decision to appoint Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission

On March 18, in Hanoi, the Central Economic Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Comrades: Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission; Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Commission attended the conference.

According to the Politburo's Decision, comrade Ngo Dong Hai, former Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (term 2011-2016), Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.

Comrade Ngo Dong Hai was born in 1970 in Phuoc Hung commune, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province, and has a PhD degree.

He has held the following positions: Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Hoai An District Party Committee, Secretary of An Nhon Town Party Committee, Binh Dinh; Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (term 2011-2016), Alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee. At the 12th Party Congress, he was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.

Presenting the Decision and congratulating Comrade Ngo Dong Hai on being entrusted by the Politburo to take on the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Comrade Ngo Dong Hai is a well-trained cadre, graduated with a PhD in electronics and telecommunications, and has been developed and grown up from the grassroots. Having held many positions, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai has always strived and strived to complete the assigned tasks excellently, receiving the trust and support of leaders and the masses.

On behalf of the Politburo, comrade Pham Minh Chinh expressed his belief that in his new position, with the enthusiastic support of the leadership and staff of the Central Economic Commission, comrade Ngo Dong Hai will continue to demonstrate his ability and mettle, and excellently complete the tasks entrusted to him by the Politburo.

Congratulating the new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission Ngo Dong Hai, Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the Politburo's strengthening of the leadership team for the Central Economic Commission will help the Commission better perform its functions and tasks. The Head of the Commission believes that in his new position, Deputy Head of the Commission Ngo Dong Hai will quickly grasp the situation, infiltrate the work, and contribute with the collective leadership of the Central Economic Commission to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai sincerely thanked the Politburo and the Secretariat for entrusting him with the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission. Deeply aware that this is a new and difficult task at an important Party Commission in formulating policies and directions for the country's economic development, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai hopes to continue to receive the assistance of Party and State leaders; and the enthusiastic support of the Central Economic Commission's leadership.
