Announcement of decision to reduce sentence term for prisoners

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the National Day September 2, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center has just announced the decision of Nghe An Provincial People's Court to reduce the sentence term for 44 prisoners.

Prisoners were given decisions to reduce their sentence terms.

According to the decision, of the 44 prisoners whose sentences were reduced, 11 had their sentences reduced to the full term, and 33 had their sentences reduced by 3 to 6 months. The reduction of sentences reflects the leniency policy of the Party and the State towards prisoners who, during their sentence, have realized their crimes, repented, and have a good record of reforming their work. At the same time, it aims to encourage prisoners who are serving their sentences to work hard and reform themselves well in order to have their sentences reduced soon, be released from prison, return to their families, reintegrate into the community, and become useful members of society.
