Uncle Ho - beloved leader
of the Vietnamese people

The 9-minute film depicts Uncle Ho as President, made by Japanese filmmakers from 1962 to 1969. In particular, the film emphasizes Uncle Ho's warm and affectionate feelings for the people and soldiers, as well as the love of all the people for Uncle Ho when he was alive and when he passed away. These are images recorded by Japanese filmmakers on 32mm color film, along with some black and white documents of Vietnamese colleagues used in the film, with commentary written by Japanese filmmakers.

The images in the film are mostly familiar to Vietnamese audiences through the footage of Vietnamese documentary filmmakers that have been shown. However, with the true colors and clear images due to good preservation of documents, the images appear vivid, creating many emotions for viewers. There are many details showing the care and sharing of President Ho Chi Minh that make viewers moved, such as after the end of the ceremony to celebrate International Labor Day on May 1, 1966, delegates rushed up to take photos with Uncle Ho. Uncle Ho took flowers from the conference table to give to each person. When he saw the cameraman struggling with the camera, Uncle Ho kindly took a flower and pinned it to his bra button and the person who received the flower in a special way was the Japanese cameraman who recorded the images for this film.

The film "State Funeral of President Ho Chi Minh" will be used by VTV to broadcast on VTV channels for 25 years.
