Bonus points in the National High School Exam
Students participating in competitions and activities according to regulations will receive bonus points for consideration of high school graduation recognition.
In the guidelines for implementing the Examination Regulations in organizing the national high school exam and considering recognition of high school graduation that the Ministry of Education and Training has just issued, it emphasizes reviewing the application for recognition of high school graduation to ensure the accuracy of the information candidates fill in the Application for recognition of high school graduation, especially the priority regime to receive bonus points and priority points.

According to the regulations of the National High School Examination Regulations, the priority points for considering recognition of high school graduation are as follows:
Students participating in the following competitions and activities will receive bonus points for high school graduation recognition with the following scores:
Winning individual prizes in the exam to select excellent students in cultural subjects of grade 12: Winning first, second, third prize in the national exam or first prize at the provincial level: plus 2.0 points; Consolation prize in the national exam or second prize at the provincial level: plus 1.5 points; Third prize at the provincial level: plus 1.0 point.
Winning individual and team prizes in practical experiments in Physics, Chemistry, Biology; performing arts; sports; national defense education sports; science and technology competitions; international letter writing organized by the Department of Education in coordination with specialized departments from provincial level and above at high school level. Specifically:
Individual awards: Winning first, second, third national prizes or first provincial prizes or Gold Medal: plus 2.0 points; National encouragement prizes or second provincial prizes or Silver Medal: plus 1.5 points; Bronze Medal: plus 1.0 point;
Team award: Only counted for national awards, the additional points are the same as individual awards. The number of players, athletes, and actors in the team award ranges from 02 to 22 people according to the specific regulations of the Organizing Committee of each award.
Students who win multiple prizes in multiple competitions are only entitled to one bonus point for the highest prize.
High school students and continuing education students with conduct classification who have vocational certificates issued by the Department of Education and Training or vocational training and education institutions issued by the Education sector during their high school years will receive bonus points based on the classification recorded in the certificate as follows: Excellent: plus 2.0 points; Fair: plus 1.5 points; Average: plus 1.0 point.
GDTX students with foreign language or IT certificates issued according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training during high school: add 1.0 point for each type of certificate.
If a candidate has multiple certificates to receive bonus points, he/she will only receive a maximum of 4.0 points. The above bonus points will be retained throughout the entire level of study and added to the exam score to consider the candidate's graduation./.
