Mahler's Symphony No. 7 Premiere in Vietnam
The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra announced that on October 12-13, Symphony No. 7 by famous Austrian composer Gustav Mahler will officially be performed for the first time in Vietnam.
The work was performed by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at the Hanoi Opera House under the baton of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji.
Symphony No. 7 was written by Gustav Mahler in the summer of 1904 to 1905, and to this day remains controversial in the world about the author's message and intentions hidden in the work.

Mahler's 7th Symphony consists of five movements. The first movement, called "Oars on the Lake," features a harmonious natural setting with horns. The next movement depicts a mountain evening with the sounds of forest animals and a marching melody about a soldier on night patrol. The third movement depicts the late night with a waltz in the darkness.
Chapter 4 depicts a grand party at a luxurious country house with melodious guitar and mandolin music. Chapter 5 depicts a bright dawn in the countryside with fields of grass, church bells, and the daily bustle of people in a peaceful village...
However, according to many music experts, the 7th Symphony has given music lovers a typical example of the cinematic tendency in Mahler's composing style. In many ways, Mahler was decades ahead of many influential film composers of the 1930s.
The Seventh Symphony concludes Mahler's trilogy of symphonic works for instrumental music. Some sections of this symphony repeat the structure of some sections of the previous Fifth and Sixth Symphonies.
